David R. Pharr Ministerial Scholarship

The DAVID R. PHARR MINISTERIAL SCHOLARSHIP is intended to be awarded to students majoring in Bible who plan to enter the ministry. Recipients shall be enrolled as full time students in the University during the semester or academic year in which the scholarship is used. Recipients shall maintain a good academic standing and have a respectable reputation among faculty and students.
Recipients will be chosen by a committee through an application process coordinated by the College of Biblical Studies. The sponsors will be involved in the application process.
Selection of students who meet the qualifying criteria shall be at the discretion of the University, The director of financial aid may be included in the selection process.
Recipients chosen will agree to work in the Carolinas for a minimum of three years after graduation from Freed-Hardeman University. If the recipient does not complete three years of work in minisitry, they will be responsible for refunding the scholarship award for the full amount that was received.
